PrayerTime is now mPrayerTime

After a week of using PrayerTime I came to the conclusion that the name I chose for the application is a bit too generic, so I decided to add an 'm' to the beginning of it. I present to you.. mPrayerTime! The extra 'm' stands for Maemo... Ok ok I admit, it doesnt actually stand for Maemo, its M for Mohannad.

Other than the 'new' name, I've also been busy making changes to the application itself.

There is now an 'Options' screen which gives the user access to the application configurations. I've added an option for the user to switch between 12Hr and 24Hr formats. I've also added functionality to allow different prayer time calculation methods based on the globally accepted Islamic conventions. The 'Auto Configure' button doesn't work yet, I'll hopefully have it functioning in the next version.

Once again feel free to test the application and let me know if there are any bugs or changes you would like to see. Oh and since the application is under a different name now I recommend that you uninstall the previous version before installing this one.

My next release will hopefully include translations (Arabic and Turkish were requested), week/month views for prayer times as well as a functioning 'Auto Configure' button.

  1. Great app
When i started it, it crashed few times(only at the begining,i was configurating the location)
Also when i click the "About" button nothing happen.
Is there a possibility that this app could be minimized so when the azan is on, it shows a reminder or some sort of alert that it time to pray
